Met Gala Favorite Looks 2012
The celebs and Fashions top designers made their way down
the red carpet for The 2012 Metropolitan Museum Art Costume
Institute Gala. This is one of Fashions best nights, where the
celebs get to shine in fashion. Check out some of TMS’ favorite
looks of the night as well as some of the unexpected red carpet
muses below.
Beyonce stole the red carpet arrivals in this amazing Givenchy
by Ricardo Tisci. Talk about killed it hands down the best dress the
entire evening.
Kanye West came to the Gala clean-cut, dapper and dateless que’s Kim
in Givenchy.
Solange attended the Gala in Rachel Roy along side the designer, the yellow
gown absolutely stunning, I love when she does things like this!
Rachel Zoe and muse for the evening Karolina Kurkova doned a gorgeous gold
lace embroidered gown designed by Zoe herself. Love when stylists turn their
love into a line, this is promising.
Model Chanel Iman draped in Tom Ford as well as his muse for the evening.
She looked so sophisticated and sexy with the sheer additions to the gown.
Ms. Iman came to work!
One of TMS’ favorite designers Alexander Wang opted a different route for the
evening creating an edgy leathery number on muse, rapper Azealia Banks.
Not sure how we feel about the look, but kudos for the attention Ms. Banks
will recieve from this! Can we say #rightplacerightime !
Rihanna attended the Gala festivities in this croccodile appliqué number
designed by Tom Ford. Not our favorite, there’s an element missing however
she gets the E for effort for continuously being edgy!
In Coupledom, LaLa and Carmelo Anthony looked adorable, La opted for a royal
blue gown and looked darling in it, designed by Zac Posen.
Nicki Minaj x Pepsi: Live For Now
Pepsi is embarking on its worldwide campaign “Live For Now”
featuring Nicki Minaj. Nicki is definitely killing them with endorsements!
The Pepsi Brand is aiming to reassociate itself in Pop Culture (Coke still
the #1 soda). With the use of Nicki Minaj’s single ‘Moment For Life’, their
is an extended commercial as well as 3-D variations of the still ‘moment’s
for life’via Youtube that the commercial captures as well as cameo by
designer Betsey Johnson. Cute! Congrats to Nicki and check out the extended
commercial below. ~
NY Post Writer in Hot Seat over Racial Brooklyn Nets Comment
Well it’s apparent that Jay Z can’t possibly LIVE! Last week the Brooklyn Nets
unveiled their new jersey and team colors as their new stadium the Barclay Center
in Brooklyn is almost at completion. A fabulous feat with Jay Z as a backer and
marketer of the team. Phil Mushnick, a veteran sports writer for the New York
Post and long time critic of Jay Z’s involvement with the Nets team had cute racial
commentary that may have his ass in the hot seat.
Mushnick went on to say:
As long as the Nets are allowing Jay-Z to call their marketing shots –
what a shock that he chose black and white as the new team colors to
stress, as the Nets explained, their new “urban” home — why not have
him apply the full Jay-Z treatment?
Why the Brooklyn Nets when they can be the New York N——s?
The cheerleaders could be the Brooklyn B—-hes or Hoes. Team logo?
A 9 mm with hollow-tip shell casings strewn beneath. Wanna be
Jay-Z hip? Then go all the way!
To think we live in 2012, where we have a black president and we are above it.
However we’re not, Jay Z can’t live, he can’t be a drug dealer, turned rapper,
turned multi-millonaire, mogul ranking in business deals and endeavors, even
covering Forbes with Warren Buffet. Nope just a n-gga and critics will always
blast his past, instead of what he has achieved here now and in the future.
The media as well as twitter has been in uproar since Mushnick’s comments.
Maybe Mushnick felt as though his vet status over at the Post wouldn’t hinder
or make a sprinkle, but guess what everyone is watching in the tech age.
So I assume The New York Post should be issuing his pink slip in 5 4 3 2…
Kimye: Kim Kardashian & Kanye West Take New York?
Kim Kardashian and Kanye West were spotted strolling through the New
York streets this past weekend. Even stopping for and ice cream cone, the
duo are definitely a visually stimulating pair and we can’t say we’re mad!
But is this a phase, is this real, or is this all publicity? Either way these
two definitely love the attention and spot light, lets see how this pans out!
