Lil’ Kim Addresses It All, Are We Convinced?

Is The Queen B back?

This past week Miss Queen B herself, Lil’ Kim went on NYC’s Power 105.1′s

Breakfast Club show to address, well everything. Call it setting the record

straight, from the source. Not to mention perfect timing for her show this

past Friday at The Paradise theater in New York, hosted by Drita Davanzo,

of Mob Wives as well as special guests, Eve, Missy Elliot, Juelz Santana as

well as Peppa of Salt & Peppa to name a few.

In respect of it all,  Lil’ Kim was a ground breaker and most definitely a

trendsetter,  what Kim brought to the table at her prime was something

we had never seen before and we loved it! Amongst her federal jail time

and drama with other female rappers, watching this interview you could

easily begin feeling sympathetic to her, it most definitely has been a long

road for her and her career. She quoted how “the industry puts women

against each other” particularly female rappers and that was how the

beef between her and Nicki Minaj began. (See Video Part 2) Also she

describes how female rappers got along in the past and stated from

Queen Latifah, down to herself as a rapper,  that “we all understood the

essence of music & how it’s supposed to go.”

The interview was eye opening of course, Kim touches on her relationships

with Rapper Maino, Producer and long time love Scott Storch as well as why

we haven’t heard new music from her. (See Video Part 1) Lastly, in touching on

the Nicki Minaj beef, she claimed that the record they did would have been a

great look but in the same sentence says that Nicki is an ” Okay artist” -wait

confused? For both of these ladies there is clearly a love hate going on, not

sure what nor who to believe, when it comes to that subject, seems foggy.

Check out the video clips below. Is hip-hop ready to embrace Lil’ Kim again

and new projects? You be the judge.
